If you are new to working out, the YMCA's cardio classes are some of the best exercise methods for you to get started with! Cardio workouts will help increase the strength of your heart and lungs, as well as improve your endurance during workouts. Check out some of the cardio classes offered at the YMCA of Central Texas!

LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT™

LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT® is a high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. Instructors will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

LES MILLS BODYSTEP™

LES MILLS BODYSTEP® is a workout where you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like burpees, push ups and weight plate exercises, and the result is a fun, uplifting, full-body workout! Don’t worry, there’s heaps of options so that everyone leaves feeling successful.

LES MILLS TONE™

LES MILLS TONE® is a mix of cardio, resistance and core while playing with different training concepts to ensure everyone gets the best results from their workouts. If you want the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training this is it. A challenging mix of lunges, squats, functional training and tubing exercises.

LES MILLS BODYATTACK™

LES MILLS BODYATTACK® is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. A LES MILLS™ instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way, burning calories, and leaving you with a sense of achievement.(virtual)

HIIT

HIIT is a workout that require bursts of high-intensity strength and cardio exercises followed by brief periods of recovery. It's almost like taking an hour-long workout with moderate intensity and squeezing it all into a period of about 10 to 30 minutes

ZUMBA™

Join the party! Zumba™ is a fusion of Latin and international music and dance that creates a dynamic, exciting, effective cardio workout. These fun, easy routines feature interval aerobic training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body as you dance. Your instructor will then incorporate several world dance styles such as merengue, salsa, reggaetón, mambo, rumba, flamenco, calypso and salsa into the class.

CARDIO DANCE

Cardio Dance is a hot follow-along dance exercise class that is as much of a party as it is a workout. This class combines fun, easy to follow dance moves with today’s popular music.
