Growing up, summer camp was not a huge part of Eli’s life, but playing and exploring in the woods behind his house in Wisconsin absolutely was. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Natural Sciences he traveled around the country working at a number of different summer camps as an Outdoor Education Instructor. He first began working with the YMCA at Frost Valley YMCA in the New York in 2014. Eli then moved back to the Midwest and served as the Camp Director at YMCA Camp Benson for four years before joining us at YMCA Camp Twin Lakes!
Rachel joined the YMCA of CTX family in 2014 in anticipation of helping open our overnight resident camp. Since 2016, she has focused on everything resident camp from summer and winter camps to family camps and overnight school science field trips. A self-described knot nerd, Rachel is always excited to help campers learn new skills such as knot tying, archery, or pickleball.
Nicole has been with the YMCA of Central Texas since 2014. She joined the Camp Twin Lakes Family in 2016, and now serves as our Day Camp Director. She has worked at a variety of Summer Camps across Texas since 2008. Outside of Camp, she attended the Art Institute of Austin with a focus on Film Direction and Visual Arts. She loves hiking, the beach, and anything creative!
Daveya is honored to be a part of this growing camp. Youth programming is a true passion of hers and she has been doing it for over 10 years now. When she’s not dreaming up summer fun, you can catch her gamming on her Xbox in true gamer fashion, listening to Y2k music, or spending time with her family. She cannot express how excited she is to spend summer with you all. Happy Campin’!
Laura has been working at Camp Twin Lakes since 2014. She serves as the Group and Retreats Director for a majority of the year and is the Assistant Day Camp Director in the Summer months. She loves being outside and spending time with her five year old son and her pug, named Blitzen. Camp is Laura’s “happy place” and wishes everyone could see it the way she does.
Tanya has served as the Head Cook at YMCA Camp Twin Lakes since 2016. She is a native Texan who was born in San Antonio, but she has spent most of her life in Austin. Prior to coming to CTL, Tanya was working for the Leander ISD in Child Nutritional Services. When she is not at camp, Tanya loves spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
