Strong Kids Annual Campaign

Every year, we host a Strong Kids Annual Campaign to encourage involvement within our community. We believe our programs and services are instrumental in shaping a better community. Together, we make our community a better place for all. The YMCA of Central Texas is focused on doing good for our community through financial assistance and support of programs like Afterschool Care, Youth Sports, Military Support Camps, and so many more.

Capital Campaign

The YMCA of Central Texas opened its Round Rock facility in 1982 to address a pressing community need for organized programs for youth & family fitness activities and quality child care. Even with all this growth, it has been a work-in-progress to keep pace with the increasing number of families drawn to these counties due to the new construction, affordable housing and exemplary public schools.

Honor/Memorial Tributes

Throughout our long history in Central Texas, the Y has become an important part in the lives of so many people. With that being said, it is natural that many of these people choose to designate the YMCA of Central Texas for memorial gifts to honor friends and family. These special gifts work to directly benefit our community while serving as a tribute to a loved one.

If you would like to honor someone special today and let their memory live on through the Y’s work to serve our community, please call us at (512) 615-5551. A gift to the Heritage Society Endowment fund is a gift in perpetuity. Currently, membership in the Heritage Society is given to donors whose gifts to the endowment fund have a value of $5,000 or more, whether they are deferred gifts, outright gifts or a bequest in wills.

The Heritage Society Endowment Fund of the YMCA of Central Texas was formed in 2014 to encourage people to make planned gifts to the Y.

The YMCA of Central Texas is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and are acknowledged in writing.

Pledge Payments

Final payment to donate or pledge does not need to be made until December 31 of each year, and the Y’s Financial Development Office can send you monthly or quarterly reminders to fulfill your pledge. The YMCA of Central Texas is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the YMCA of Central Texas are deductible in the manner and to the extent of the law.

Volunteers

The YMCA is seeking those who are looking for volunteer coaches for our youth sports programs, who exhibit the values behind the Y mission (caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith) and who want to make a difference.

The Y’s Financial Development Office is happy to set up a payment schedule for your donation. The options available include: Monthly (billed in 10 monthly installments), Quarterly, Semi-Annually or Annually. The YMCA of Central Texas is a non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service with a 501(c)3 charitable designation. All donations made to the YMCA of Central Texas are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. When you pledge money to our Annual Campaign, 100% of your donation is used to provide financial assistance to those who cannot otherwise afford to participate in Y programs.

Individuals, families, businesses, community partners, foundations, churches, civic groups and government grants all support the work of the Y.

Your support is still needed. Membership fees and donations are two different sources of income – both tied to our charitable mission. Income from program and membership fees, as well as government sources, cover the Y’s operating costs, program delivery and membership services. Unfortunately, they do not cover the cost of financial assistance for economically disadvantaged youth and families.

Donations to our Strong Kids Annual Campaign go directly to fund scholarships that benefit young people, adults and families. Your donations support our efforts in the community to provide meaningful opportunities, positive experiences, and caring adult role models to help youth grow into responsible adults. Therefore, your support benefits every community member, regardless of their Y involvement.
