I have been attending or working at a summer camp for 20 years. What makes camp successful is the joy and excitement everyone feels when the campers, the staff, and our families are all a part of the camp magic! It’s not summer camp until I smell sunscreen and bug spray. I have been a camp counselor, sports specialist, adventure trip guide, teen trip leader, assistant camp director, camp director, and executive director supporting camps in my home state of Maryland, then California, Hawaii, New York, and now Texas. At camp, I have a lot of energy and still love being a camper, sometimes doing arts and crafts or jumping in and doing the turbo hustle. I also still love to lead camp songs, capture the flag or gaga and make s’mores. Camp is truly a unique mix of safety and adventure, and I can’t wait to welcome you all to Camp Twin Lakes and join in on the magic.

This will be my 10th summer working in Camp!
Camp to me is a place where kids truly get to be kids. It’s where they spend their days outdoors, trying new things, exploring, laughing, and discovering what they’re capable of. I know it’s summer when I hear the excitement at the climbing tower, see campers hitting their first bullseye in archery, and watch new friendships forming right in front of me.
I have worked in the camp industry in a lot of different positions from counselor, Assistant Camp Director, Director, and Sr. Director. I have worked in Y camps from Colorado, Connecticut, Upstate New York, and Illinois. This will be my 3rd summer with Camp Round Rock.
I spend a lot of time with my partner Grace and our Two dogs Nike and Riggins. We love to hike, Kayak, and binge watch tv shows in our home in Round Rock. Camp is messy, active, and Creative place for kids to be at camp Round Rock. Our Daily goal is for you kid to have fun and be tired by the time they get home to their families. We also want kids to try something they have never done every summer!

Ever since childhood, I have been passionate about camp! During the summers, I would spend months at camps for gymnastics, girl scouts, and church camps. For the last two years, I have been overseeing operations for Camp YMCA of the Highland Lakes, and have experienced so much joy watching the children have fun and grow. My absolute favorite part about camp is the sound of children laughing, watching strong bonds being built, and seeing the children’s creativity flow. As camp director, I have had the opportunity to work as Unit Coordinator, Camp Counselor, Field Trip Coordinator, and have loved every position. My fun-loving personality lends to camp the joy which fosters creativity, organization, and promotes fun. Camp is a place for kids to get messy, have fun, and make friends!

I have had the pleasure of working in summer camp for the last 7 years. What makes summer camp successful to me is seeing kids, and staff from different backgrounds coming together and bonding and creating lifelong memories. It is not summer until I smell sunscreen around camp! In the past I have been a camp counselor, unit lead, specialty camp coordinator for both CRR and Camp Brightwell, camp director. Outside of Camp I am very laid back and enjoy spending time with my family. In my free time I love playing basketball and taking my dogs on hikes. I enjoy being around children of all ages. I value safety and instilling positive core values to help children develop into leaders. Camp is my construction place, and my goal is to build great children!

With two summers of adventure-fueled leadership under my belt, I like to bring energy, heart, and a whole lot of camp spirit to Camp Greater Waco!
My favorite part of camp and what makes it so successful is creating unforgettable experiences that encourage campers to step outside their comfort zones and discover strengths they never knew they had. Camp is a place where kids can try new things, make lifelong memories, and discover just how amazing they really are. In the past, I’ve worked as a dance camp instructor, camp coordinator and now Camp Director. I love being outdoors! Hiking, biking and swimming are some of my favorite summer pastimes. A passionate educator at heart, I’m dedicated to helping campers grow not just in skill, but in confidence and character. I’m excited to bring even more outdoor education and mindfulness moments to camp, encouraging campers to explore nature, pause, breathe, reflect, and truly soak in the magic of summertime adventure

I’ve been connected to camp for 24 years—starting as a 7-year-old camper and becoming a staff member at 13—and it has been a guiding part of my life ever since. It’s not summer until I hear campers laughing on the trails, smell sunscreen in the morning, and see kids trying new things! Those small moments are what make camp feel alive and successful to me. In the past I’ve been a CIT, Counselor, have worked in afterschool programs, and Program Director at camps all over Texas, giving me a deep love for youth development in many different settings. Outside of camp, I’m a creative and people-centered person who enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors, and celebrating milestone moments with my family. Building connections and supporting growth of our staff and campers are at the heart of what I love to do. Camp is my transformative place, and my goal is for every camper to discover who they are, feel safe being themselves, and grow with confidence and belonging.

The past 6 years of my life have been CAMP. Every day when I come to work it feels like a dream. Growing from a Summer Camp Counselor to now running our Groups and Retreats while assisting in the day-to-day summer camp. Year-round fun! I know Summer Camp is here when I hear the first big “GOOD MORNING, CAMP TWIN LAKES” at our opening ceremonies. Rain or shine, you will always see me with a huge smile on my face, I know when campers are here at Camp Twin Lakes, they are making connections and growing into amazing people. CAMP is my “GETTING TO GIVE CAMPERS MEMOERIES THAT LAST A LIFETIME” place, come make awesome memories at Camp Twin Lakes.
